Oakboro: A Burnout is held in downtown Oakboro the fourth Friday of every month during the Oakboro Cruise-In. Thousands of people come to watch the event. Oakboro: The Oakboro Cruise-In is held the fourth Friday of each month, with the exception of December. Oakboro: The Queen City Corvette Club brought nearly 30 cars to the July 2007 Oakboro Cruise-in. Oakboro has the largest downtown cruise-in held in North Carolina.
