Oakboro: A Burnout is held in downtown Oakboro the fourth Friday of every month during the Oakboro Cruise-In. Thousands of people come to watch the event. Oakboro: If the weather is pretty, 350-500 cars will show up for the Oakboro Cruise-In & Burnout. Oakboro: The Oakboro Cruise-In is held the fourth Friday of each month, with the exception of December. Oakboro: One of the largest cruise-ins held in a N.C. downtown; includes a burnout from 9-9:30 p.m. If the weather is pretty, around 500 cars will show up. The event was started in 2004.
