the Pine Point Casino was the largest big band nightclub in the hudson valley in the late 30's and 40's. It showcased all the top big bands of the day, and The Red Norvo Orchestra was the "house band" there from 1939-43'. Frank Sinatra even appeared there in 1943, doing a set with his good friend Red Norvo, and his Orchestra. The club burnt down in the late 40's.
