User-submitted facts and corrections:

  • I just visited Ronda, Spain. The tour guide asked where the only other "Ronda" is in the world. His answer: North Carolina, USA. I live in Charlotte and had never heard of Ronda, so I looked it up on Google. I'm interested to see no Spanish inhabitants of Ronda, but #% Latin American. On the satellite view, it almost looks as if there is a great cliff in Ronda, NC. Is this true; a great cliff is the major geographical feature of Ronda, Spain along with a bridge. I wonder if this could be the reason your town was named Ronda; do you know the origin of the name?
