Tipton: Tipton's train station Tipton: The Tipton: C.W. Mount Community Center, which also houses the local Boys & Girls Club, features a gymnasium, a deluxe fitness center (run by Tipton Hospital), banquet facilities, and offers space for local Community Theatre productions, as well as other community activities. Tipton: At Tipton City Park there are trees, playgrounds, ball fields, picnic areas, basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, tennis courts, a public pool, horseshoes, shuffleboard, and right across the creek, which borders the park, is Tipton Municipal Golf Course.
Tipton: Tipton Hospital, recently expanded & upgraded Tipton: Tipton County Courthouse, Labor Day, 2010 Tipton: Tree-lined entrance to Doctors Park, on the scenic south side of Tipton--which, interestingly enough, is right next to the Golf Course, to keep the doctors happy. Tipton: Across Main St., on the south side of town, is the county 4-H Grounds, a facility used for many community activities, year-round.
Tipton: Next to the City Park & the Golf Course is Fairview Cemetery, on the scenic south side of town. Tipton: Tipton Elementary School, formed by consolidation of the former public elementary schools in Tipton, which were Washington, Jefferson, & Lincoln schools. Tipton: The old Post Office is downtown, a half block east of the Courthouse. The building, built during the Great Depression, has large historical artwork in the lobby, painted by WPA artists.
