  • Recently I discovered that Chick Fraser, a notable major league baseball pitcher(1896-1909), died at Wendell, Idaho, on May 8, 1940. One of Chick's notable achievements was as a pitcher for the Phillies, when he pitched a no-hitter against the Chicago Cubs in 1903 - the final score 10-0. Presently I am attempting to learn more about Chick Fraser's personal life after he retired from the majors in 1909 and ended up in Wendell. Whatever info you might have will be incorporated in a research study of the Crown Point Chalet, a guesthouse that once existed above the Columbia River (1915-27). email: crownp at pacbell.net website: www.crownpointchalet.com
