  NO DC CERTIFIED FOOD MANAGER WAS ON PREMISES AT TIME OF VISIT. MANAGER DID HAVE A SERVE SAFE CERTIFICATE. THE CERTIFICATE IS VALID UNTIL 2015 HOWEVER, DC ACCEPTS THE CERTIFICATE FOR THREE YEARS. THEREFORE, FOR DC THE CERTITICATE IS EXPIRED. 8/19/13. IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A DC CERTIFIED FOOD MANAGERS CARD. MANAGER MUST BRING A THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO 899 NORTH CAPITOL STREET NE. MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:30 AM-4:30 PM 1ST FLOOR. 1) CURRENT SERVE SAFE CERTIFICATE. 2) CHECK OR MONEY ORDER FOR 35.00 DOLLARS. 3) TWO FORMS OF ID ONE MUST BE A PICTURE ID.(CORRECT VIOLATION WITHIN 45 CALENDAR DAYS)

  THE FOLLOWING FOOD CONTACT SURFACES WERE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH DC CODE. 1)INTERIOR OF MICROWAVE ON LOWER LEVEL CONTAINED SPILLAGE. 2)CAN OPENER AND BASE COTNAINED FOOD PARTICLES. 3)ICE MACHINE AT THE COKE SODA DISPENSING UNIT CONTAINED SLIGHT SLIME AND MOLD.
