I am very disappointed with the food we ordered from this restaurant.

We visited this restaurant because they advertise coal fired pizza.

I had coal fired pizza before at other restaurants and it's always very good. It had a very well cooked crust and the bottom of the pizza was well cooked also. However, their pizza was the worst pizza I have ever had.
The pizza is paper thin and soggy. How can fresh out-of-the-oven pizza be so soggy? Even the crust was soggy. I never had fresh pizza where the crust is soggy. Coal oven pizza should have a well done crust that looks burnt and the bottom of the pizza should be crispy not soggy.

The only time I ever had soggy crust on pizza is on cheap frozen pizza that you buy for $5.00 at a supermarket. Their pizza had the same consistency as frozen pizza and it taste awful. It didn't taste anything like coal oven pizza. I wouldn't be surprised if I was served frozen pizza. And why is the pizza so paper thin? Traditional round pizza should be much thicker then what they are serving. It was the worst pizza I ever had. Shame on them for selling this crappy pizza.

Also, their Chopped Antipasto Salad was a joke. They put pizza toppings in your Antipasto Salad. It had chopped ham, salami, pepperoni, roasted red peppers, olives, and chick peas. There was no fresh tomato's or mozzarella in it at all. They put all that pizza toppings over a bed of Iceberg Lettuce and they call it an Antipasto Salad. What a joke.

My wife ordered the Eggplant Downtowner. The portion was very small for the price, and the taste was awful. The tomato sauce was tangy and undercooked. This is supposed to be a gourmet meal? No way does this meet the standard of any gourmet style meal.

We paid $53.90 and the only thing that was eatable was the chocolate cake my wife ordered.

I don't know how they can call this restaurant an Italian gourmet style food restaurant when the food they serve is horrible.

I'm from New York and I have eaten in some of the best Italian restaurant and in some of the worst restaurants, but their food is at the bottom of the barrel. It's very poor quality food.

My wife wanted to go back and demand a full refund for the food because it was horrible and we couldn't eat any of it.

They really need to improve the quality of the food, especially the coal fired pizza.

I will never go back to this place.
