The national debt has gone up 50% since the Democrats have taken over Congress.. and thats in ONLY 3 years.
Democrats took over Congress, national debt was around $8T
Now its $12T..
In ONLY THREE YEARS
And Bush did not inherit a surplus, but even if you want to claim he did, it was due to a Republican Congress.. It is after all CONGRESS that spends..

Lie.. Clinton did not leave a surplus. Any chart that claims he did is a comparison of debt as a percentage of GDP.. A percentage of GDP is not the same as real dollars. The national debt went up EVERY YEAR during the Clinton administration..

Since 1965, Republicans have held Congress for eight years.. TOTAL.. Thats it.. And 4 of those years are the very same years that Democrats like to run around pretending surpluses took place.. (see above for 2 such claims)

Do I think the Republicans are the party of fiscal responsibility? Hell no, not sure where you gathered this idea from, but given the alternative, I'd say they are a hell of a lot better. After all, do the math
Republicans holding Congress for 8 years, 4 of them are imaginary surpluses = 50% of the time they run surpluses.
When is the last time you can claim a Democratic Congress ran a surplus?
