The new poll is up, and will close in two days, just after midnight on July 9th with the new poll and results up on July 9th.
The polling cycle from July 7th and July 8th showed Obama (D) with a significant lead over McCain (R). Obama had 49% of the vote while McCain had 38%. Obama had a 11% lead. Bob Barr (L) captured 11% of the vote, up from 10% last time. Other had 2% of the vote.
Only 55 votes were cast in this poll. The results are probably somewhat incorrect because of the lack of voters and because the regular users of CityData did not vote in this poll.
McCain has not lead in our poll since the poll from 6/20-6/25. This is Obama's biggest lead by far.

Well all along I have been saying incorrectly. It should be John McCain 2008 and Mitt Romney 2016. Duh. Unless Barack wins, then its Mitt Romney 2012.
Im glad we cleared that up.
I am so shocked, this weekend all the Republicans that were normally on were gone. But dont worry, the Democrats were all still on attacking .
When do the debates start? We all know Obama will fall flat on his face at those when he starts talking. His hardcore supporters wont care/probably will be watching American Idol instead of the debates. But the undecided's and Hillary's supporters would be tuning in, and can change their minds. I'm excited. Maybe he will magically have the flu at the debates and use it as the excuse.
It will be interesting to see what the charts look like after a couple of months.
Yeah, they will be more variable than other polls because we are only polling 100 people (meaning one vote is 1%) so its kinda cool to see how it progresses. CityData has a pretty hearty mix of Reps and Dems. Hey, the past few cycles, we have gotten the same results as Gallup (except for this past one).
Obama, because he isn't McCain, and any other candidate is just a vote leech.
