I dislike Obama for his liberal views, lack of knowledge on US history, US geography, US foreign language requirements... Okay I think the guy is a true idiot. Of course McCain was not and is not my first choice but he is better than the alternative. The cover while in poor taste is hysterical. I would like a poster size version to hang on my wall please!

I don't see it as offensive and most people realize that Obama is not a terrorist nor a Muslim fanatic but my issue is with the fact that some people are not as smart as the average American yet they still have the ability to vote (not saying there should be an IQ test for voting).

My issue is that people will see the cover and make a judgment based on that because as stupid as it sounds, people in America do make snap judgments and people who may not have thought that could happen (what's portrayed on the magazine cover) in the future may now think so.

Aw! Why didn't you put "I find the cover funny - a clever observation on the hate and fear crowd"?

It is not funny. It is in very poor taste. The world is watching. Too bad they are not as "sophisticated" as we are in "getting the joke".

Default literal americans

It's not in poor taste or insulting, however, because most people are idiots and won't read into the genius political message behind it, perhaps the New Yorker should have waited until AFTER Barack is president to release it!

The world knows who Nobama is, a phony racist along with his racist wife! Unfortunately, the world is much more sophisticated than the US, we just have our heads buried in the tar pits! Uh-uh..., Tar pits> tarball> black> racist comment; must be aware of PC police, don't want any "devil's food cake" on my face!

I'm just glad that it wasn't the cover of Atlanta Magazine or Texas Monthly! We'd be subjected to all the racist comments!
