By April, you will already be collecting Tier 2. Continue to claim. California will file the new claim for you. If you haven't worked, there won't be an interview, or a new claim. CA will continue to pay the old claim until exhausted.

In April, under current legislation, you will have remaining:

08 weeks Tier II (you will have collected 6 weeks before your bye)
13 weeks Tier III
10 weeks Tier IV (increased by 4 weeks in Sept.)
