The Hoyt Barnum House was built in the 1600s by one of the first European settlers in the area and it is the oldest building in Stamford and one of the oldest in the nation. The interior is decorated with 17th century furniture and from my understanding, the history buffs can receive a tour of the interior of the house by appointment.

The emblematic Landmark Square highrise with its 1960s architecture, is one of the most recognizable buildings in Stamford.

Another interesting landmark is the First Presbyterian Church, also built in the 1960s. It has two distinct features, one is its bell tower which is perhaps the tallest bell tower in Connecticut and the other is the shape of the church! Its probably the only fish-shaped building in the world.

Beautiful Cove Island Park Beach and Long Island Sound during the off season.
