Spring looks a little different out here. These are all from this afternoon.

This is why you can't build a regular house. It would get crushed. This is less then 1 month's worth of snow on the roof (and a lot of it blew off already and it's starting to slide). It's about 6 feet of snow.


If you look out the side windows as you're driving, you just see a wall of dirty snow. I'm always amazed that the plow drivers can get right up to the guardrail and never hit it.


Just some more shots along the highway. It's hard to tell how high these are in the photos, but they're higher than the top pf my truck.






The south end of the valley still has good-sized snow banks






8 miles north and there's hardly any snow down low

This is sort of in the middle of the valley and there's plenty of snow. Clouds were moving back in to the mountains after a partly sunny day. It's snowing fairly hard right now, but we're only supposed to get 3-5" tonight and maybe and inch or two tomorrow.
