Ethic's before money has to become a higher concern for mankind. Nothing in the principle of God based goodness has ever said that a people cannot profit and live fair, when Ethics lead our pathways.

In the 1970's our schools were damaged greatly when legislation's impacted our society, which led to the diminishing of "Civic's" being taught in our schools.
We lost that education value of what it is to be a "Citizen" in this Democracy and this United States.
The Far Right - wanted it removed, because it was post Civil Right Era, and for that learning to be promoted for a non segregated people, to learn how to further fight for rights and liberty in this nation, it did not like the move of Civil Rights nor of Women Rights, and the Many Rights of the Previously disenfranchised. IF people were to be unlearned about our system, they too were to be unlearned about our voting rights, unlearned about how voting districts function and unlearned about how our political and Civic system functions. Those of the
Far Left moved as well, to avert the learning of Civics with a claim of wanting unconstrained freed without Civic responsibility as they considered people were being groomed for War Services. The element of the Vietnam War was a great impacting tragedy upon the American people, and people were distraught at the many lives were being destroyed and taken away in a war no one could explain. Later, the Pentagon Papers surfaced, exposing the mess, it future impacted the minds of people, and moved us even further from the education of Civics. On the Far Right, they become more enraged and wanted to lay blame upon the elements of cultural and ethnic integration. when bare premise and fact is, 'we ceased to "teach coming youth and the next generation about what it is to be of Civic Understanding and Learning in how to learn Civics as to the individual in a Democracy System of these United States.
Civics is about more than just how our System is designed, it is about the civil nature of what it takes to live within a Democratic system.

Bob Graham has long championed a push for Civic Education to be Returned to Our Schools.
Since the removal of Civics from being centered in our Educational System, we've seen a continual erosion of our society and a widening disintegration of our social continuity. One does not grow up with inherent learning as to how to live in Civil society, it is a process of learning. We seem to have forgotten that very important point.
instead we have allowed money to become our focus in every aspect, and as a result, EVERYTHING in America has declined. Ethics have been disregarded and eroded and made void.
If we want to fix American we have to start at these levels of Education, and move back to what we once knew, and education our young in what is American Democracy and Teach the Civics, to education people how to live in a Civic system as civil beings in a Democracy.
Many people have no idea of what is the branches of Government, how the structure is designed, nor how education, work, industry and even have lost how to understand the responsibility of our financial markets are to function in a Democracy, that provides elements of "free markets". People do not understand, that a Free Market, only exist when it functions within Regulatory Governance. Many have lost even the awareness to know or understand, that Democracy cannot exist nor continue without Regulatory Governance. It is " core in the foundational premise" to the stability of Democracy. It infers "Responsibility", to and for the Civic Nature of Our Democracy. This is the nature of 'Governance that was long established with the Declaration of Independence to be and become a Democracy, and the establishment of the Constitution was and is a Civic System, that advises us how to be and become a better democracy.
Civic's helped teach American people as to how to understand their place in society, how to value the elements that make them good civic citizens. It emphasized the benefit of Education for the better of society, not as a sole aim and goal of "self enrichment by profession". It taught people the value of "contribution". People were then not taught to pursue a career just because of high net gain of money, it taught people to value career aspiration to be one who contributes to the betterment of society. There was no crash course madness methods of gaining a Degree Title for the sake of status and high pay. It was for the higher learning, to be a better equipped individual to promote and contribute to society.
(Today, the education tract has become all about "MONEY", STATUS AND TITLE", as a result "EVERYTHING IN AMERICAN DECLINED, we lost sense of purpose and loss sense of value and blamed it on everything and anything. Greed was promoted as good, excess was celebrated as success and we had become a society, that has no respect or protection of Legacy, not in family, not in community, not in business and certainly not in protecting the many institutions that make up our nation.
Even our stock markets, are no longer about the design of system where any and everyone could invest in the STABILITY, and Research and Development of a Business", and MANAGED GROWTH. IT is now, about speculation and fiction, of excess valuation, which promotes the contrived greed machine it has become. It crashes companies by the thousands, and sell out American interest, thus eroding the industries across the nation, which damages communities across the nations and devastates families.
This is the results of a society who has no Civic based Education, to understand what and how a Democracy Works and What keeps it working and how to become a better Democracy.
Instead, we want to blame it on race, ethnicity, and all such absurd things. When it lies in our lack of understanding the value of Civic Education, to teach people what is a Democracy, how to live in it, how to help it grow, and how to be civic minded citizens who live in support of the Democracy we love.
Young people have no sense of place and this has persisted now since the 1970's to erode more and more each and every years that passes, when more and more people move into adulthood... unequipped to know and understand what is a Civic System, how it works and what their role and responsibility is within it.
We let everything from religious fanaticism to every form of bigotry and bias, try to control and dictate, when none of such things would predominate in a system that has an education people in Civic Responsibility and Regard for Civil Society.
We need to wake up... We need to Relearn the Real Reason that America Exist.... and Plan our Course for the Future with a society who is

And Understand and accept Our Civic Responsibilities as Person and Individual.
Many people today, have no idea who their local council members are, nor their district rep's or any of such things, nor do they know what is the role and responsibility of these position. They vote based on "DRAMA ADVERTISING"... without every knowing the facts, the premise and often having no knowledge of the character traits of those they elect. They vote based on who "arouses their anguish"... and who "strokes their emotions", and who can make fake promises of money in their pockets. We choose blind, and have no sense of mindset to know and hold the elected to the understanding they are there to serve the people, not to enrich themselves and devote themselves to collecting campaigning funds for reelection. Their deeds are no longer even the measure of re-election, its about "who has collected the most money from special interest groups".
We are to blame for the mess, it is us... the America people, who failed to know and be taught the value of Civics Education. The sooner we accept that, the sooner... we will stand to DEMAND, that Civic Education is Returned and Expanded in Every Aspect of our Educational System, throughout the Organizations of Higher Education.
Then and Only Then ... can we move to bring "ETHICS" back into our society....

the lust for money and living by the pursuit of money over civic decency will destroy this democracy and all that live within it. And bias , bigotry, greed, and every type of malice will become the make up and continuance until we are a destroyed nation, and fall and set ourselves up to be usurped and made into an Autocracy. Controlled by those whom command the power of wealth. We will become a destroyed nation... corruption will reign supreme, and no one will be safe in any way at any time. Society will be ripped apart at the seams an chaos will present us, exactly what we seen in the movies of a devastated landscape and returned to raw survival instincts as if to be like animals of pery upon and against one another.
