My vote goes to Rochester. Right on Lake Ontario,great university, not too far from Toronto, and awesome locals. There are so many outdoorsy things to do.

No. It seems many/most people have no idea what Atlanta is really like. In particular:
The tree canopy, the city in a forest.
The exquisite, charming, urban neighborhoods.
