In the San Diego forum, there's a thread titled "How to make money with Adsense and niche wetsites". If you try to open it, you get redirected to a screen to "report" the "Invalid thread". But it's not the same report screen as the one that comes when you report a posting. I wonder if it's a phishing expedition.

I'm off to change my password ...

It just means that the thread was deleted. If you refresh the sub-forum, you'll no longer see the thread.

Thanks. Now I'm less worried. Still changed the password, though, just for good practice.

"Invalid thread" is a normal system notification. Might happen for a deleted thread or a momentary server hiccup, but it is no sign of hacking.
