I've only been here a few days, but I am impressed by most of what I have read so far. The only downer has been anonymous "negative reputation" because I said this ...

It is not always easy to see what is the right thing to do, nor to actually do it, but some of us try to do, what we feel in our hearts is the right thing to do.

The thread where this took place is now closed, for now, because of the personal attacks that have taken place. I wasn't part of that and I wasn't taking sides. I was just expressing appreciation for one thing that one person said that for me was showing some integrity ( not accepting someone as a client, not simply going for the money, because it didn't feel right to her ).

Not to worry, Bels7, I gave you a positive point!

Funny how those that give out the negative points never sign their names!

Sunny closed the thread and I think it was about time.

Since you are new...welcome to the Forum! Please know that its not always like this. There are so many people here who will answer your questions as honestly as they can. Its a great place to find out anything you need to know about this area. I've lived here for 30 years and I still learn something new almost every day!

Vicki

This board is overwhelmingly positive, and very well moderated. Don't allow a few 'hicks with internet access' to bring you down

It is a very positive place. I suspect if everyone in that other thread met in another place and topic they would get along fine. The current economy can bring about strong feelings. I really think 80% of what was said in there was agreement and the disagreement was over the unknown. Life has so much uncertainty and depending on age and circumstance we are in very trying times. Like the stock market a few years ago the recent real estate surge created opportunity and wealth for some and distress for others. It is very difficult to be in to late or out to early. Timing is so much of modern life and we all to often see winners and losers based on timing etc. Forums can be great outlets for those emotions if they enable us to live our real life interacitons in a positive and supportive manner.

You may want to send a direct message (DM) to one of the senior moderators...markablue or Yac...and have them review this neg rep and possibly remove it for you. I think it is important to do this as the person sending the bogus neg rep will probably receive a message to follow the TOS and to stop doing this type of activity. I'm sure this isn't the first time this person has improperly neg repped someone.

Thanks da jammer. One of the mods did notice this thread, and then checked out the other one, and its "adversaries" ... and closed it. If it happens again, I'll simply report the post ( which I now understand how to so ) or send a PM.
