Compliments
How does someone pay particular tribute to a Moderator or Senior Moderator that you think has and is doing a superior job.
I believe the great majority of C-D members understand how difficult it can be trying to be firm but fair, and we are all human after all, but there exists many Mods who just take to what they are doing like ducks take to water, smoothly, naturally and with little splash.
From time to time I have had occasion to swap posts with Mods and have let them know that I like how they treat the C-D posters???
Sure, I have had disagreements with some Mods but I don't take those seriously!
To sum up:
To whom do we address our recommendations for "Attaboys/Attagirls? I would bet that a lot of members would like to know this as well.

Sucking up won't help you in the least
I would think giving them rep would be a good way to go about it.

I guess a thread like that once in a while is a nice way of saying thank you.
Most of our moderators, who volunteer to help us run this place, have their private lives, jobs and families. Yet they are willing to devote a lot of their spare time to make city-data a better place. I'm sure they love to be appreciated from time to time.
(and rep points aren't a bad idea, either )

Thanks marka...question answered. BTW I also go out of my way to compliment waitresses, salespeople and others whom I think go above and beyond...just something I believe in . Now, back to the Games section

Nice to see a thread that's a compliment, not a complaint. I don't know most of the moderators becuase I only have time for two forums these days but I do know Waterlily does a wonderful job on the Retirement Forum. Also, Yac does a great job with the Virginia forum--and handles a bunch of other boards as well. Thanks, you two.

Leaving a nice comment with a rep, and participating in this forum helping out by answering questions are my way of saying. "Thanks mods, I appreciate what you do ..voluntarily "

I can tell you it is like most jobs, many times we only hear from the ones who are unhappy with us. We have a great group of mods here who work very hard to keep things fair and running smoothly.
We also have Markablue and YAC who guide us whenever we have questions.
I say 'post a Thank you' to let your mod feel the love
