Russians testing their new software hacking tools. Could be the power grid or water department next week?

"Russians" this, "Russians" that. Tired of hearing about Russians as excuse for every wrong.

CD Forums were probably just down for maintenance - during a time when a lot of folks were in church or otherwise away from their browsers anyway.

It has happened periodically in the past. IIRC, sometimes it takes a couple of fails before the problem gets truly fixed, so I would not be surprised if it went out again. I would be against changing out the software. Too much "improved" stuff is garbage, annoying, and another way to capture and monetize what is said.

Admittedly as a younger than a baby boomer person, I like this format better than the software at other sites and that keeps me here even though the content of posts is more engaging, interesting and thorough at those other forums. C-D is weak on matters of current technology and lifestyle, not a criticism but more of an observation at this point.

Woohoo! I was almost afraid to check!

I’m not afraid to admit that I really do rely on CD. As a caregiver, socially isolated for 12 years now; this is all I’ve got. I have gone for days if not weeks; without interacting with one adult that I’m not related to.

I know it’s not real life interaction, duh ... but it’s not like CD is replacing anything I could be doing otherwise. No options for me now & none foreseeable. Your stuck with me, I’m afraid!
