I'm always on a laptop and my computer is downloading some TV programs while I am online here and yes at times its been sluggish but I know thats on my end because of doing too many things at once, plus I hear it slows down your speed a little to be using a wireless router which I also do.

What kind of laptop do you have and what should I ask a computer sales person to show me?

Where should I go to find a very good price on said laptop and the things needed to run it?

We have 'many choices' in Atlanta --Sam's Club, Best Buy, and a host of other computer stores.

With 'Wifi' you don't need a 'Server/Comcast'?

Any FYI would help.

You will still need an Internet Service provider with WiFi, if you want to use it in your house. You will also need a router.

Places like Starbucks and Barnes and nobles have WiFi connections in their buildings, so if you take your computer there, you can use it.

You can read up on it here

Thanks. I've seen 'Wifi' advertised but have not had a chance to learn more.

I will talk to some people at the computer stores and see what they say.

Sometimes I get lucky and find someone who is very patient.
