Thumbs up New feature: an icon marking revived old threads

When old threads are revived by new posts, some people don't realize that these threads were started long time ago and have been inactive for a period of time. We now have this icon appearing in the forum in front of all such threads. For example, see the thread "Job Offer withdrawn after employee gave his two week notice" in the Work and Employment forum. Please note that this icon shows for 24 hours after a thread has been revived, so it will no longer be visible later today.

Very useful icon. Thanks! I once posted in a state forum that a particular fabric store was going out of business. Six months later, somebody actually still went to the store and then came back and commented it was an old thread. Granted that common sense might make someone check first if the store is still open for business, this might have helped.

How long does a thread have to be inactive before being considered revived? Just curious.

Thanks. I think that may be helpful to the "newbies", who seem to revive a lot of the old threads.

Good idea! However, that little icon, simply doesn't show up. Maybe something in red next to the title would work better. Plus, I don't think a newcomer would even think to click on the icon.

I agree, those posts that need an answer within a certain period of time, need some way of warning the poster that the need for the advice is long gone.

I'm not a newbie but sometimes I revive old threads I don't understand why this is a problem,if it's still relevant. Also at the bottom of the screen it lists related threads that I go to sometimes thus reviving an old thread
