As a March 2009 winner, I know a little what some of you must be feeling as you are notified that a post or thread you wrote was selected by the Administrator to be honored. I thought surely it was a mistake. I didn't even know for a couple of days until I opened up a forum and read a post about me.
I do wish CDF would highlight what impressed them (the post) so others could read it too, if I could offer a little advice to those who make these selections.
Congratulations everyone! It is a humbling feeling, while also exciting, to realize what we write are not just words. We are sharing real ideas, advice, knowledge, hopes, dreams and our own personal journeys in understanding others and vice versa, while asking questions that impact real lives.
Keep up the good work everyone! And to all of those whose time hasn't quite come yet to be selected, hang in there. Don't be discouraged. I felt guilty knowing who had helped me on this site and that something I wrote was seen for some reason as more important at that time, than all the posts that helped me. Without some people here, I wouldn't even be posting. Just know your posts are read and evaluated somehow in how you contribute to this site.
