Use of images on City-Data site

Hi All,
I am a web designer in the Buffalo, NY area, and I'm trying to find pictures of the Buffalo area for use on my clients' websites. Is it possible to use the images of Buffalo on the City-Data site (http://www.city-data.com/album/album...-New-York.html), and if so, are there any constraints or requirements?

Are you asking if you can use person's photos posted here for your personal business, or could you post pictures from your personal business in this forum? Either way, the first rule to always follow when using photos that aren't your own, you should get premission (written if possible) from the photographer, it might save you hassles of running into any copyright violations. HTH.

My understanding is that members give City Data a perpetual licence to use posted material, but do not relinquish any other instances ofcopyright protection.

If you wish to use a member's material, you should contact that member and gain their written agreement for your use.
