Sounds like a chewy version of a "Dark & Stormy"(rum & gingerbeer). Enjoy!

Now if I were your mummy, Linmora, I'd say "Bad girl, you will ruin your appetite for Christmas lunch".

As I am not your mummy, I will just say "Sounds like you had a good time, and hope you and everyone on here gets lots of great presents, stuffs themselves silly at lunch and in general has a good day"

I wanted to make mention of how valuable open adoptions are for the exchange of medical info.

My youngest came down with a cold over the weekend, and based in the way she was acting last night, I was certain she has an ear infection. So, we went into the dr this morning. Sure enough, ear infection. The standard prescription is antibiotics, specifically amoxycillin, a type of penicillin.

My older daughter had a bad reaction to amoxycillin when she was a baby, so I thought to wonder about my youngest, who is adopted. While sitting in the pharmacy waiting for the prescription, I texted back and forth with her first mom and found out that she (first mom) is allergic to penicillin, as is her little sister. Also that first dad had lots of ear infections when he was little (but no reaction to penicillin). This meant I was able to know that I need to keep a close eye in my daughter for a possible reaction as it runs in her bio family.

It's so helpful to have that info available, and I can only imagine how much more important this will become as the years go by (and people age and get sick, etc). I'm so thankful that I can have this info for my youngest daughter and not be blindly guessing at her medical background. I know this isn't the case for every single adoption, but it is for ours.
