When do you think When Africa will get their 1st Olympic Games? What Year and What City?

The Olympic Games have been or will been everywhere. apart from Africa. With Rio de Janeiro hosting the 1st South American Olympics in 2016 Africa is the only Continent in the World Which havent hosted the Olympics.

When do you think When Africa will get their 1st Olympic Games? What Year and What City? What do you think?

My hunch is that South Africa would be the most likely candidate. After hosting the World Cup, it seems like they've got an edge on facilities. Cape Town and Durban have been listed as potential candidate cities for 2020 along with Rabat, Morocco. Nairobi, Kenya is listed as a potential candidate city for 2028.

Cape Town and Cairo are the only cities I believe that have a shot, at least in this life time. Maybe sometime after 2020. I also heard Nariobi,Kenya wanted to throw their hat in the ring but I think their chances are even slimmer. I'm thinking not till the 2030-2040 time range...

South Africa is the only one I can really see, with Nigeria and Algeria outside chances.

I Have read that Cape Town will not bid, and instead Durban will be put forward for South Africa's bid.

Durban would be a great choice, as it is still a magnificent city (aside from the ills which plague the whole country).

South Africa is my choice, given that it probably has the best network infrastructure in terms of road, rail, harbours and airports. It also has experience in holding other major sporting events such as the World Cup.

J'berg and Durban would be my choice cities, although Cape Town and Pretoria could give the entire country a share of the Olympic spoils. But I don't see it happening for a good 10 or 20 years, not helped with the ongoing political struggles and the usual corruption.
