There always seems to be some group of idiots who start trouble in the name of religion when thier only goal is to force thier version of it down the throats of others. These same bunch of idiots are now trying to change history by destroying what history they don't like. I feel bad for any average person in Mali who just want to be left alone, go about thier lives, and not get caught in the middle of some stupid power struggle. I wish the French well in trying to keep a lid on everything, but it will end up being up to the average citizen to show the trouble makers enough is enough. If diplomacy fails, which it always seems to do with these types, maybe it is time for a little "tough love".

Religion should be a personal matter, not to be taken out to the streets with guns firing in the air and knives ready to amputate, kill and more. Humans everywhere should be entitled to the freedom of and yes, from religion, if that is thier choice.,,,,

Though I agree with your post, Islam isn't about freedom and personal relationship with God, it is a completely distorted religion from other Abrahamic and other non-Abrahamic religions which Islam plagiarized from.

I think, the issue in Mali is political and economical rather than religious, the so-called relative stable democratie in Mali is a joke, meanwhile the governement silently practicing persecution and oppression on the Touaregs people which are located in North Mali.
The economic power is located in the South, nothing has been done in the North, since the independence, there were several revolts of the Touaregs to bring the attention of the central governement but to no avail.

The islamist saw an opportunity to extend their influence jumped in the conflict, making things worst.
So Mali central governement in Bamako,is solely responsible of this conflict.

Smh. It's crazy. I wish ppl would wake up and realize the horrors of the Arab and Muslim based slave trade that has been going on since ancient times.
