Why is Kenya's real estate is booming while her neighbors Uganda,Tanzania and the rest of East Africa Lagging behind.
The reason could be accessibility brought about by better roads, investor friendly policies that allow any one to own property irrespective of origin etc

Why is Kenya's real estate is booming?

Isn't Nairobi also becoming the "Silicon Valley" of Africa? I heard a lot of start-ups are being developed there, especially after the recent expansion of broadband internet access (a submarine fiber-optic cable now connects Kenya to the rest of the world.). Perhaps, this along with other economic sectors expanding, is stimulating the growth of real estate.

Great to see an African country on the up and up. I once met a guy from Kenya he told me about how he thought snow was dangerous to touch and he came to the Midwest in like January or February and was freaking out. That said one has to note the peaceful elections that have just taken place in the country, a sign that the bloody days of 08' are now behind Kenya. The stock market just hit a 4 and 1/2 year high and investor confidence continues to grow as bond yields provide returns. It will be interesting to see how Kenya will handle this growth whilst dealing with other issues including military issues on the Somalian border and the famine and exodus occurring there.
