Livingstone/Victoria Falls - how many countries could you reasonably visit just from this location alone?

Seems like Zambia and Zimbabwe, easily, as they share the Victoria Falls region.

Botswana definitely looks like close proximity, and very easy to also visit.

How about Namibia? There is a panhandle there....easy to find a bus or something to take somebody into that region? Anything to see there?

Angola & DR of Congo are relatively nearby. Sounds like the DR of Congo is somewhere to avoid altoether, or am I wrong about that? Angola is a possibility, but anything to do over there, or any purpose to make it worthwhile? Mozambique and Malawi are two other possibilities.

Just so everyone could see where all of these places are at:

I worked in Kenya for 3 months and Zambia for a month in the late 1980s. Zambia isn't that large, and the roads are decent (though deadly; at one time I read the country had the highest motor vehicle fatality rate in the world, though I have no idea if that's still true). If you can afford to fly, Zambia is a short flight from Kenya. Tanzania is safe, so that's an easy one. As far I know from friends who have recently worked there, only parts of DRC are dangerous. I don't know the current situation in Mozambique, but when I was in South Africa many years ago, it wasn't safe. The best thing to do is to check the State Department site and see what they say, though if you're an adventurous traveler, their warnings may seem a bit overblown:

Country Specific Information

Wherever you go, be prepared for blustering, well-armed military types who try to intimidate you and not let you cross borders by land, but are easily calmed with a few American dollars.

How long do you have? Are you planning on driving everywhere, or a combination of driving and flying?

From Livingston, it would be entirely whatever I can reach by bus or mini-bus, or whatever they offer backpacker type travelers.

Not driving or flying.
