Don't think so. We're a pretty diverse group...

Furthermore, the video that you posted seems to contradict such an assertion. The man being interviewed is not very good at hiding is distrust of the Chinese (rightfully so. The government is doing some SKETCHY stuff over there in Africa!).

Besides, who are the enemies ?

I like that the Professor being interviewed gives very nuanced answers about both the pros and cons of Chinese development aid and how it could be made to work as a give and take game using specific examples at times and then having his talk be turned into a crap yes/no sort of topic on an internet forum.

What do the chinese government and too many African governments have in common? Answer, corruption and repression. The chinese gov't is undemocratic and so have been the many post colonial African gov'ts. So you basiclly have two groups who are kinda on the same page doing "business" with each other.

Enemy us much too strong a word under the present conditions. China is simply a business rival, the "competition or just another player at the table.
