Regarding the video I posted in the original post, is that way of "dancing" considered somewhat obscene in Africa as well or is it normal there? I am asking as in one of those videos there were even older (by African standards one might say old) women "dancing" like that...

I prefer authentic African music or Africanized modern music.

I am from neither of these groups but the Malians and the Igbos from Nigeria have the best "raw" sound to me:

Undiluted Igbo sound tends to be percussion heavy (minus the traditional flute) but very fast-paced to listen to:

The tune from Mali is very nice I have heard music from Mali before, they seem to make some pretty good music there, there is even some similarity with some melancholic Portuguese music, like Madredeus'.
