Africa has long had corruption and corrupt for leaders. It was stunted in it development by European colonialism to well past WWII. No different than India and many other merging countries. The relgion thing is non-sense;pue re and simple. Evidence by most the western world that got out from under colonialism. Its evidence by those such as US and Canada who got out from under it long before. The fight among colonial powers was what WWI and WWI was really about. They all ended in bankruptcy and destruction of most involved in Europe and death of most of two generations of young men in all.

According to the UN, as of 2011, HIV has infected at least 10 percent of the population in Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

According to the Oregon Health Authority, there were 2886 people in Multnomah County, OR, population of about 765,000, (county where Portland is) in 2010 who were infected with HIV. That is NOWHERE near 10% of the population.

I'm pretty sure Homosexuals aren't hunted down or watched by Africans ( I'm Nigeria)atleast not in Nigeria...they just aren't allowed to do it in public.. Cuz it's illegal. The same way polygamy is illegal in Western countries, practising homosexuality is illegal here.. I'm also tired of people talking about Africa like it's a country... There r many different countries/ governments/laws.

As for race... It really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone why so few were willing to 'tolerate ' different races... 'Neighbors' in African countries doesn't mean the same thing it does in western countries... Also alot of the countries listed were colonized... Alot only gained independence less than 50 years ago.. Don't expect us to welcome everyone with open arms... Before we were colonized we did, and look what happened.

Again, standards and morals of western countries r not the standards and morals as the rest of the world. It's very patronizing and foolish to judge and try to dictate what is wrong and write in other peoples cultures.
Sorry, but nobody is putting polygamists in prison or killing them in the streets of Utah. And polygamy is a cult, homosexuality is something someone is born as. Apples and oranges. Sorry of you don't like our "morals", which include not imprisoning or killing people for loving someone of the same sex. It's oppression of people, at a minimum.

Yes, we just pretend that racism doesn't exist and ridicule anyone who claims otherwise. It's covert but convenient.

That is because everybody is greedy and wants to live like the white man. They do not want to Unite and get rid of foreign ownership. Also that relationship also benefits some people as well. Like take an foreign company that actually pays fair. After should just be schools hospitals and airports. That is all that is really needed their. Would communist be an good thing for an United Africa???? Are African nations addicted to the European lifestyle??? Then their is the Oriental nations as well and their relationships. Gaddafi is an good example of what the entire nation would be like United unless otherwise stated.

The Leauge of nations took him down for disciplining his people with Air-strikes. How is the area now today??

I mean Africa itself is perfect and foriegn powers is the key problems with it. If Africa was like North Korea how would have things been? Everybody milks from Africa and it is terrible to see the results of the continues milking even in todays world. Africa is like an bread basket of resources which is insane to think about.

Two cents on that subject

I agree.

The place with by far the highest HIV infection rate in America is Washington DC. And the prevalence there is only 3%.
