Because they are too busy worrying about extreme poverty, civil wars, and unstable governments. They don't have much time to focus on 1st world problems.

Not everything is Europe's fault. Besides, do you think pre-Europe Africans were any more tolerant of such?

That's all the MORE reason that they shouldn't be killing people over their sexual identities.

True but homophobia doesn't just exist in Africa, it's all over the world.

Africans, in most cases, have not done this. Egalitarian societies are earned by those whose ethical codes deserve them.

Two best posts on the whole thread....JMO.

99% of homosexuality is genetic. We have several homosexuals (male and female) in differents lines of my family. Most never having any contact with the other. Males seem to be less accepting of homsexuality in other males but, a lot of them get their jollies from thinking about female and female. I have encountered that aspect too many times to count.

I find Africans very intolerant, just in reading these forums. I have pretty much stopped coming here because I had hoped for some real conversation, as equal human beings, but most of it seems to be bashing American and Europeans. ho-hum.

Homophobia may be "all over the world", but there are some countries enshrine severe penalties in their laws that criminalize, demonize and murder gays for "just being gay".

Looking at it objectively, what might be considered intolerant in one country may not be the same in another country. I think a major problem occurs when a certain culture or society tries to impose their morality on other nations as if they are the gold standard of what's right and wrong.

Then again, South Africa legalised gay marriage while many countries in the West still haven't.

Zimbabwe president calls for the beheading of gays – LGBTQ Nation

Here's yet another savage black African country inflicting misery on their gay minorities.

Personally, I find racism to be much more repulsive than intolerance of homosexuality but I guess you feel the opposite.
