In the USA, its customary for the brides parents to pay for the wedding...just curious, in Nigeria, who pays for the wedding? Also, when dealing with the tribes, Igbo, Yoruba, hausa.

I don't know if it's the same in Nigeria, but in Uganda there is a list circulated to relatives and friends and you sign up for what you'll pay for - the wedding dress, other clothing, a goat to BBQ, food, drinks, etc etc. It is becoming a bit less common, but in rural areas there is a bride price. The groom gives a certain number of cows or other animals to the bride's father.
