I think I'm a little too wimpy to go to Ethiopia, but it has some fascinating history and old buildings. An old and unique form of Christianity too.

I've been there two times, I've been to Dire Dawa among other cities.

Great ancient culture, very proud people, beautiful monasteries and landscapes, mointains (Simiens), etcetera.

I also ate Chat, the local drugs

Very poor country, but I can see that it has developed the last couple of years.
