What are your thoughts on Bear Grylls TV survival series? Is his show and are his actions of killing anything he sees to only bite off an ear or a tiny morsel of meat to show us how tough he thinks he might be? I just saw him kill a large water lizard only to eat the liver and scratch a small piece of meat out of its tail. The rest would have gone to waste!!! I might add he killed a snake and took a bite out of it as well, discarding the rest. I also once watched him teaching people how to defend and survive an attack by would be attackers in the city. I might add it involved a back flip!!! So not sure how a 50 or 60 year old was going to do that. Also I think the absolute last thing we are going to do is reach over and grab a handful of elephant poo and squeeze the remaining moisture out of it into our mouths.

What are your views, his show may be good entertainment and informative in a lot of ways but do you thinks some of the things he does is purely for the show or for boosting his ego?

If you honestly really enjoy the program then fantastic, but feel free to use this thread to discuss and share your views on the series.

I don't get why people freak out over this guy so much. Like it was supposed to be a huge shock that a camera crew is following him around everywhere and he stays in hotels or whatever. You can just tell he's full of sh*t right off the bat. If people don't believe what he's doing, just stop watching. It's so clearly over the top and unrealistic, I'm not sure why people were so offended when some of it was confirmed.

It's so weird that Bear Grylls seems to be one of very few people on television that gets examined this much.
