Here's who the Moors were. Feel free to add any corrections if you know something different.

Quote:

The term "Moors" has also been used in Europe in a broader sense to refer to Muslims, especially those of Arab or African descent, whether living in Spain or North Africa. Moors are not a distinct or self-defined people. Medieval and early modern Europeans applied the name to the Berbers, North African Arabs, Muslim Iberians[2] and West Africans from Mali and Niger who had been absorbed into the Almoravid dynasty.[3]

The Moors of al-Andalus of the late Medieval after the Umayyad conquest of Hispania in the early 8th century were initially Arabs and Berbers but later came to be predominantly Iberian Christian converts to Islam, known by the Arabs as Muwalladun or Muladi.

The Moors were predominantly black Africans. That is why the word Moor in parts of Europe equates to black people..."BLACKaMOORS" (google it).

lol Despite the many Eurocentric liars, there are also many Europeans who are content with the truth!

This is a recent find that was opened up to Westerners after they murdered Ghadaffi:

Oh and btw anthropological research proves that these "Northern Africans" were in fact black too:

None of my Mande/Mende links were from wikipedia. So far all the info I've found on Mende/Mande writing is consistent with the info in my links.

An interesting review on a popular book about the Moors.

Quote:

This classic has been co-opted by Afrocentrics who have added a foreword by George Jackson who rants and raves about how Moors were Black, something Poole never states. Even the cover is deceptive, as it is not a portrait of a Moor. It is a painting by Eduard Charlemont in 1878. He is a bodyguard...

How many pictures, statues, and figurines have been presented clearly showing the Moors as black? Why are you taking the critique of the use of one painting to discredit the hundreds of depictions of black Moors across Europe? Stop with the denial and let the white supremacy die! Questioning is always welcomed, but utter stupidity and denial will only be entertained for so long.

Fair enough, but you gave a ridiculous 19th century origin for the proto Mande script. The same script that is engraved throughout the settlements of a 3,000+ year old West African civilization and also ancient Geramantes. We gotta use common here.

Ok but are you only showing pictures of black Moors? Aren't there many images of non black Moors out there? Also you say that the Moors were majority blacks. How was that determined? Is it more that Shakespear made Black Moors popular through Othello which is why black Moors get more attention?
