Stop the oppression and the dehumanization of Black people, and that's when things will get better.

When blacks stop being seen as a poor loser and criminally oriented group its when we will be better perceived. Begging white people to like you isn't going to achieve this goal. The Civil Rights folks tried that and according to you they failed. Yet here you do the same thing. Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

I can assure you that Jews have a much easier time of it than do blacks. I just don't hear them wailing about being ill treated by the police or facing discrimination in housing or employment.

I suspect that it is because Jews are perceived to be doctors, lawyers, investment bankers, and real estate developers.

Tell me if Jews are arranging marches to convince the USA that Jewish lives matter. The mere fact that powerful Jews remain in the Trump administration should indicate to you that the screams of illiterate rednecks doesn't bother them. In fact they seem more bothered by the perception of being seen as being racist.

In NYC it is arguably the Mexicans who have the lowest involvement in crime among Hispanic groups, and Puerto Ricans the highest. Coincidentally Mexican men have the highest labor force participation rates in NYC. Puerto Rican male labor force participation is higher only than it is for black American men. Its is LOWER than it is for black Caribbean men.

The higher the level of crime in a community the more it will be policed. The more the police will develop a notion in their heads that they operate within a criminal community (either direct involvement or condoning this activity). Therefore the more one will see police abuse as in their minds everyone who they encounter is a perp until they are proved innocent.

You wail that the Civil Rights movement failed because it left many blacks economically marginalized. Yet you don't connect your BLM movement with the need to reduce economical marginalization?

So what is the goal of the BLM. An opportunity for young white Millennials, and those who identify with them as you do, to scream and pretend to be doing something useful.

Tell you what. If your cop sees every black man as a criminal because every report of a crime has a black (and less often a Hispanic) male as the perp then why do you think that he will respect us enough to treat us like humans?

Want to end police harassment of black men. Then figure out how to get more of them earning $30/hour in some blue collar job. Hispanics don't own Con Edison and yet almost every single person I see digging up the streets, if they aren't whites they are Hispanics, and NOT Mexicans either!
One of the least examined conundrums in American life today is the fact that Hispanics have lower levels of educational attainment than blacks but have lower unemployment, higher median incomes and household wealth than blacks.

Yeah, "Hispanic" is a very broad term that includes recent immigrants as well as Tejanos and others that have been in the United States since before the Revolutionary War. Many Latinos are basically white people with Spanish surnames and you'd never know they were Latino unless they told you. More recent Latino immigrants also tend to have larger households than the average black household (parents, grandparents, kids etc), so I'd expect more relative wealth since expenses are spread more evenly.

In my opinion 2 reasons

1. Tighter family structure
2. Hispanics are known for higher productivity than most other groups. I have supervised people of different ethnic groups and this is true for Hispanics raised outside of the USA in my experience.

No. White men without high school degrees can often find better paying jobs than Black people with degrees.

Since in general (there are exceptions) white people make more money, they are able to live in better neighborhoods. If it weren't for NYCHA and rent stabilization you'd have few Black people left in Manhattan below 96th Street, Western Brooklyn or Western Queens. Since Black people are literally pushed to the edge of the city, that affects one's social networks, and people are hired in part due to who they know.

Also the man who works in the deli has the same rights as the man who went to Harvard. No one has to become well off to be treated "well".

Stand up for the rights of all people.

Btw, much of the Caribbean and Mexico are devastated due to natural disasters. I hope you're donating money, volunteering, and otherwise doing what you can to help.

The true reality is that things need to be done for the masses of people, not for a small percentage of educated people.

In certain large cities, Black Americans, along with Puerto Ricans and Dominicans have high rates of incarceration that certainly leads to family dissolution (one or both parents in jail).

Blacks are often more marginalized/segregated from the rest of the society than some Hispanics. Of course you have outright white Hispanics.

Blacks being incarcerated at high rates is not in itself proof of a systemic problem. It has more to do culture. If your solution is to be more lenient on sentencing than some of the black majority areas would look like war zones. Like they were in the 70s/80s before the clinton mandatory sentencing bill. Chicago recently started going lenient on gun crime sentencing and crime spiked.

No, it's not culture. Or else the government would never have created black majority areas to begin with. If any working person were able to live where he or she wanted to, instead of being segregated into ****ty neighborhoods where they are denied equal services to the rest of society there would be no problem.

The Clinton era stuff got rolled back in part because it infringed on the rights of whites (see the movement towards drug legalization and now the compassion towards white opioid addicts that was denied to Blacks during the 80s crack cocaine era).
