Already been to Morocco, Kenya, Sierra Leone/Liberia (in better times), Senegal and Gambia.
Would like to see Ghana and South Africa. Ghana should be possible as it is not that far away and has been developing tourism. South Africa.......well I need to get around the stress of that long flight first.
And yes Morocco is an African/Arab nation. It has cultural contacts with nations such as Mali. Indeed much of their music has distinctly sub Saharan influences, just as music from the Sahel has Arabic influences.

Ethiopian music is interesting. Seems to have both SS and Semitic influences, but it's really just uniquely native Ethiopian.
No. I'm on the western edge of a continent that I haven't even scratched the surface of as far as travel goes. I find Africa very interesting to read about, but can't see ever going there.

I don't really see Ethiopia as part of that sub Saharan musical tradition. The notion of seeing them "wining" to some hot soukous music as Congolese do (as do many others in East and Central Africa) is beyond me.
Most definitely yes. Africa seems a fascinating continent, so exotic, wild, beautiful. Yet, full of history. Egypt and the Maghreb countries are a must on my bucket. As well as Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea and Tanzania.
I know it won't happen next year, but it definitely will.
