As I am at work I have not yet been able to watch the video, but I do have some concerns that a news organization called "The Atlanta Black Star" might not be completely unbiased.

Whenever a culture imposes itself on another there will be conflict ranging from social disruption to outright war. Given today's more enlightened attitudes it is possible things might have gone better if colonization had taken place a few centuries later- but it is also possible these more enlightened attitudes have been made possible by the failures of European nations trying to remake the countries they colonized in their own image.

Whatever the answer to this question I tend to look at historical events as somewhat inevitable...if that's how things happened then forces in play at that moment caused them to happen that way and probably nothing could have changed the outcome. (Most people probably don't feel this way, I know.)

I blame the African culture that was pre colonialist. Just like some of the muslim world that refuses to go into the 21 century. Africa has a rich history of slavery, war, tribalisim and genocide, just like the rest of us at one point. As an American I think I will start blaming the UK for all of our bad behavior. Slavery UKs fault. Iraq war UKs fault. Dick chenney UKs fault.

"More advanced than Europe" hahahaha, you're delusional.
Africans lived in tribal villages, they didn't even have agriculture, they were hunter gatherers, nomads, no written language, no industry, no cities, no governments, no libraries, no museums, no technology, no banks, no finance, no currency, no militaries, no science, no universities, no education,no poetry, no philosophy.
Most parts of Africa hadnt even invented the wheel.

This is why it only took just a few thousand Europeans to conquer Africa and its hundreds of millions of people, so easily

Here's how the Heritage Foundation views/ranks Nigeria's economy.

For two decades, Nigeria has fluctuated between “repressed” and “mostly unfree.” The state intrudes heavily into private-sector activity. Regulatory barriers still prevent broad-based private-sector development, and much of the population remains engaged in subsistence agriculture.

Nigeria Economy: Population, GDP, Inflation, Business, Trade, FDI, Corruption

i think that africa can blame colonialism for a lot of stuff.
but eventually after the colonists have been gone a long time, you got to own your own stuff.
we have the issue here too, owning your own stuff.
