The president may send a contingency albeit advisors to assist in hunting down Boko camps and conveys, but the only way these ruthless rebels will be diluted is with a 1000 snipers on the ground attacking their camps via night vision and periodic air support. Surgical strikes helped us in Viet Nam and not much has changed actually. Royal Marine L115A1 or
Russian SV98 good choices plus rocket grenades .

They can also ask Executive Outcomes which are former servicemen of the South African forces. They have extensive experience in mercenary activity. They are involved in forcing rebels to the negotiating table in Sierra Leone and more well-known for contributing to the Angolan government's success in forcing UNITA to accept the Lusaka Protocol in 1994, Executive Outcomes reportedly has a web of influence in Uganda, Botswana, Zambia, Ethiopia, Namibia, Lesotho and South Africa.Executive Outcomes

Problem is some African countries are very iffy with allowing a foreign fighting presence and western left gets very vocal about the use of mercenaries.

Would Goodluck Jonathan rather let Boko Haram go all the way to Abuja? Because that's where they are headed if they arent stopped soon and it's rather obvious that no African force is capable of doing so.

I would oppose such an intervention. Let the African countries handle their own affairs.

Yes the government is very corrupt as well and the reality is a contingencies of 60 snipers working is no force against a tactical African government force. That has to be part of a round table stategy . We would have to grease a few officials in as Boko is loose change compared to the pay roll from philanthropists with a fierce desire to complete a goal albeit clean head shots from 1000 yrds. or .9 km +. I would love to go but not experienced
and too old . The private sector is the only way as our government has no resources to tap and can't afford boots on
the ground .

There possibly is a need to overthrow specific government forces while simultaneously attacking Boko camps . There is simply too much corruption in the ranks of some segments of undisciplined leading officers in military that suggests a need to segway in an effort to stop illegal weapons ,money laundering, slavery, top military must be taken out. This would best be done via CIA, FBI and allied intelligence. Meanwhile the snipers can target the " squash" ( heads) of the Boko demons in the bush. It is obvious that someone is supporting ammo, weapons, rockets, food ,machetes ,vehicles, water, gasoline money etc. If Haram supply routes are compromised we could cash in and obtain their resourses reducing our private support as this is a business and a humanitarian secondarily. As Wiclef Jean lyrically put it " Where the MONEY at?" Let's loot all Boko
camps and be " loot whores"! but nice whores.
