Most of them starting from Morocco to the Cape of Good Hope (S.A) and beyond.
Just avoid Somalia.

Africa is huge and has 1000s of 1000s of miles of beaches.

Instead, I would ask what are the best beach towns in Africa to visit.
That would include how nice the beaches are, how safe is the town, etc, etc.

I wouldn't consider Seychelles to be legitimate Africa. True African beaches are the ones on the actual continent and not in a nearby archipielago.

A few examples true African beaches:

Kenya

South Africa

Tanzania

Tunisia

Why don't they develop mass beach tourism, like Thailand, Turkey etc?

That lambada one in Tunisia kind of surprises me. Must be at an all-inclusive resort?

They do. I believe Kenya/Tanzania is kind of Ground Zero for that. You have Mt. Kilimanjaro, Serenghetti National Park, Zanzibar, Mombasa, and Nairobi.

I've always thought of that area as Ground Zero for tourism anyway. For beaches, particularly Mombasa and Zanzibar on that side of Africa. On the other side, where all the Europeans go in droves, is Senegal and Ghana. I also think South Africa has a well-established tourist industry as well, it's just far away from almost everywhere.

Usually if you look for cheap flights into Africa, it is ALWAYS South Africa & Kenya. They are kind of the 'first stops' for many people who fly into the continent.
