So obviously you speak English but how widely spoken is it in Kenya? For people visiting would they have any issues getting around? Or for the most part can everyone speak English?

EDIT: Bonus personal question Do you ever feel like the world generalises too much with the term "Africa" and "Africans".

Example, when people say there is Ebola in Africa but they almost seem like they're referring to the whole of Africa (as a unit). Or when I see pictures from foreigners in a rural place in South Africa and say "This is Africa!", almost as if they've collectively lumped every African country together.
Yes English is spoken pretty much everywhere. We do have a pretty unique accent but I guess thats how it is everywhere. Yes, I do get the generalization bit. When I studied in a North American Country, people usually asked me why I spoke English and not Swahili. I think its just out of curiosity not done to bring us down. The ebola issue as well was pretty blown out. I mean I too am concerned about our brothers and sisters in Liberia, but lets say Kenya was a neighboring country Id be on the next flight to somewhere else .

I am not a 'Black African', so I face this quite often. I often hear go back to India when I am driving or in a business meeting, but for every one person that says that 10 will stand up for me... I love this country.

What's the work environment like in Kenya compared to other places? Still 9-5?

How often do kidnappings take place?

What do you think about the project of East African Federation, or whatever it is called. Is it likely to happen?

Ok, and English is common, but do many people speak it as a first language?
What about English proficiency in neighboring countries?
