I was both glad and sad to see this. Glad to see corruption in the Angolan gov't exposed and sad to see how this corruption is hurting people's health.

I'd like to see us deal with these other African leaders similar to how we dealt with the Apartheid leaders in South Africa.

I'm sure it's some of that combined with not knowing how to properly use and manage the oil revenue.

Norway has provided some advice:

Quote:
Mrs. Hertzberg, who made the call at the inaugural Ghana Oil and Gas Awards, noted that oil resource was non-renewable natural resource and so was important to invest in revenue accruing from it prudently, warning "If you inject oil money into economy inflation will eat it all." She said in the case of Norway, it used the oil money to establish a fund with which it made investments abroad and used four percent of it to finance the national budget, adding that the fund kept growing because of returns on investments.

What about this? If Angola had a white president who was doing what the current president in doing to the people in that country wouldn't more people be raising hell about the corruption there?

Where is Trans-Africa on corrupt African governments?
