Black American communities are paradisaical compared to what happens in Africa.
Black Americans live in one of the richest, if not the richest, countries in the world. You can expect third-world poverty within America where people don't have access to clean water, etc.
Yup. European colonialism was generally good for the empire and the colonisers, and not the natives. The aboriginal populations of those three nations still aren't havibg a very good run of things compared to the descendants of colonisers and immigrants, generally...
The exits of various EU nations from their African, Latin American, and Asian colonial holdings was often quite messy and once again done solely for their benefit, leaving power and economic vacuums that in many cases still exist today.

The IQ thing is too simplistic. You are overlooking too many other factors that can explain Africa's post colonial underdevelopment.
After gaining independence too many of Africa's new leaders chose bad models for development. Like state socialism and authoritarian governments. They should have chosen some form of mixed economies for their particular country and more flexible political systems.
Africans actually did a decent job of ruling themselves in pre-colonial times:

Complete nonsense many moved because they wanted land. Many Europeans owned very small plots of land but had huge families generation after generation the plots became smaller and smaller due to being divided up it became more and more difficult to grow enough food to support a family.

Hong Kong was a British colony for 100 years, Hong Kong gained independence in 1997, it has one of the highest gdp per capita on Earth, same with Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Colonialism was not necessary a bad thing.
I don't think that is a fair comparison. Hong Kong is merely a city and it was annexed by China, a huge industrialized and developed country.
Different colonies were treated and administered differently.
Another former British colony - and a rather large country - is Myanmar (formerly Burma) and it is mired in political corruption and poverty. I just looked it up and Myanmar ranks at #150 in the Human Development Index ... very poor. Yet Myanmar, like many African countries, is rich in natural resources.

It would have been good if African leaders in central and southern Africa could have figured out how to modernized their pre-colonial governing styles.
