Question from a Brazilian to Africans:

Since most of Africa has a climate that is very good for agriculture, just like Brazil's climate is good for agriculture, when will Africa develop its potential for commercial agriculture, like Brazil did?

When will Africa start to grow crops like soybeans, corn, oranges, sugarcane, in large scale, for export?

What are the main obstacles for that?

If I'm being ignorant, and Africa is already developing its agribusiness potential, please enlighten me.

I would love to know more about the subject.

In Brazil, we turned almost all of our savannas (called "cerrado") into soybean fields.

Africa doesn't need to do the same to ALL of its savannas, but could do it to at least a part of it.

That's great.

Which countries are expected to have the greatest agriculture revenues?

Once the France, UK, Belgium, China, and the US get their paws out of the continent, then great things will happen.

I don't see what is preventing the governments of countries like Angola, Zambia or Tanzania from creating stimulus for commercial farming...

As far as business. Africa's main problem seems to be the bad economic policies coming from the various African governments. Their red tape and over regulation is hurting business expansion around the continent.
