Glad you clarified.
But the countries in this video seem to not have a major problem.

Also, don't forget Africa is a continent.

I can only speak specifically to North African countries like Egypt and Morocco... but they have become cool places to hange out. They are clean and trendy and that is what is drawing people to eat there. Only people with more money or that are expats can afford to eat there on a regular basis. Also portion sizes are different. Due to cost people order smaller potions or share the meal. In Morocco peopel that frequent these type of places are usually people with money coming from outside the country. The average person'a can't affort to eat there and usually opts for cheaper food options. At least that is what I have seen. I was watching a show that was taking about the problems that American Fast Food places where having on the health of the population and it was really brutal. I was featured on an epidose of VICE. It was talking about Kuwait. To my understanding Saudi Arabia women have a large issue with obesity as well.

Can't fried chicken be traced back to West Africa? Haven't they always eaten some fairly rich food in that part of the world?

KFC is everywhere now. The KFC in Kyrgyzstan is completely jam-packed every time I've walked by it. I've seen KFC in Mongolia. Everybody loves fried chicken.

LOL!!! True. Also most of the time when I have had KFC outside of Canada it has been way better. I guess because people are paying a higher price ex it is expensive for locals of some of these countries they actually prepare it better.

KFC in Trinidad and Colombia was WAY better ex a millions times better then I ever had it in Canada, the USA or England. I had fried chicken in MacDonald's in Colombia and it was really good. I was totally surprised.

Please note I have friend chicken once every few months at best and would not go out of my way to eat it here because it is high calorie and does not taste good. If I am going to eat something high calorie my expectations are super high. If I got to spent a lot of extra time burning off those calorie... it better be excellent!

There is nothing wrong with a fast food meal once in a while. Just don't live on it.
