I've met a number as well. In many cases, employment prospects may be very difficult, if they returned to RSA. Besides many would find it difficult, to readapt after years in Asia.

Farmers are a unique breed, in being isolated and easy targets for crime in instances. Of course, where the most crime is, murder, rape and intimidation, is in the townships, with African people being impacted.
This has long been the case though, what has changed since democracy, is the spread of crime impacting all.

Farmer murders, you will be happy to note, are in the decline. still far from perfect, but no country with such inequality and few chances to escape it, will be saved the blight of crime and risk.
