This is what I'm talking about your ignoring science what DNA says, your ignoring the obvious that African Americans resemble West African. Your ignoring culture traits in African diaspora linking to West Africa, Your ignoring what is history documented about the slave trade.

Again nobody is arguing that some black Americans are mix with native or other groups, just stating black Americans are predominantly African but your trying to present like black Americans are predominantly native Americans that is false.

Are you even black? This is the problem with white Americans. They think they are experts on people they rarely interact with and definitely don't respect. You have no voice in this conversation if you are not a part of my culture. I know you have been led to believe that you do, but I am here to tell you that you do not. Your time would be better served understanding your own history and the disastrous impact it has had on the world.

And they changed it from "Negro" because someone realized we could go back to look at old maps and start figuring things out.

I feel good about where this discussion has taken me, and I'm not interested in debating it anymore. I know all this is making your head explode. Good luck sorting it out!
"Black" people were never "Indian". You have still not presented any evidence for that.

Who are "they"?

What's in a name?

Bennett, What's In a Name? Negro vs. Afro-American vs. Black (1967)

The impetus for dropping "Negro" in favor of other terms came from within the black community.

It is interesting that the essay does not address the "n word."

What name do you prefer?

If you ever have your DNA tested be ready to accept what it tells you, because many people have had their identities upset by what they have found.

Lol, I've already seen this play out in the "conscious community" and the Pan-Africans are basically ready to concede. I'm not sure why y'all think the numbers add up like that and that the slavers would sardine cram their investments and not worry about them dying off like we're told.

The "black olmec native" theory is one of the craziest things I've ever heard of. It's remarkable that this many people believe in that.

None of this is true. Black people were NEVER "indian", and "colored" was a term exclusively for black people. Only people of African descent could be "colored".

So Jack D Forbes, C.S. Rafinesque, John Ogilby, etc are wrong or lying about things in their works? I guess that's what you are saying. Jack Forbes knows more about this than Chi or you including the DNA aspects of it and I'll rather go with his works over marginalizing melanated people to just one portion on the continent of Africa...it's all good though.

This is from Etienne Perier's report. He was once governor of the Louisiana colony. He was updating France on what was happening and their failure during battle with the Natchez:

Quote:
Fifteen negroes, in whose hands we had put weapons, performed prodigies of valor. If the blacks did not cost so much, and if their labors were not so necessary to the colony, it would be better to turn them into soldiers, and to dismiss those we have, who are so bad and cowardly that they seem to have been manufactured purposely for this country.
You all can probably Google the quote above to verify its accuracy. Taking the quote into consideration, why, then, would slavers send their investment to die in battle en masse during the Civil War, or like it was mentioned above, risk them being killed during a voyage where (based on pictures in history books) they couldn't move or use the bathroom when they pleased? Just think about all the disease that would spread among people marinating in urine and feces for long periods of time. Think of all the EUROPEANS that got sick and died trying to come over and they were not slaves. Come on, man! Folks, you just have to suspend the narrative for a minute and use some critical thinking skills. You don't even have to believe the arguments we're presenting. Just imagine the situation and think to yourself, "How likely is it that this really happened?" Think of all the prisons we have today and how they are filled with black men. Modern-day prisons are slave plantations. I wonder how they'll write about those in the future...
