I would disagree that whites are treated well in every African country. That's the reason one must be very cautious in many countries as white is often associated with having a 'certain means' and targeted as such. It can come in different forms with the extreme being violence . There are people very welcoming, while others do not like (or give the appearance of) white people. It is very difficult to make a blanket claim of this or that. Nothing is absolute. I have been to places in West Africa, where did not feel comfortable at all.

There was big plans for Durban along the waterfront area. Now there's a city of racial diversity. Hasn't it the biggest Indian ethnic population outside of The Sub Continent? Great beach city in time gone by, but did not feel safe last visit there back in 2004. Although been to South Africa, twice since.

While it's large, outside the Subcontinent is a bold claim when their are Indian dominated regions/countries outside of the subcontinent, not only places like Brampton or Surrey, Canada. But Trinidad, Guyana, Mauritius and Malaysia all have fairly large Indian populations for the entire nation.

Theirs's roughly 890,000 Indians in Durban, it might be the most for any singular city, outside of India. But once you get to metro areas places like Toronto, New York, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and London are coming fairly close, with all of them having 600,000+ Indians in the metro area as of 2020. Kuala Lumpur had as many as 875,000 Indian people in 2016 living in Selangor+Putrajaya+KL and while that isn't synonymous with the metro area, the number at most is an inflation of 50,000 Indian people. Theirs's a very good chance that 2020, Kuala Lumpur has passed up Durban as the most Indian metro area outside of India.

Of course Dubai and cities in other Arab peninsula countries have the largest Indian populations as a %, with some cities around 40% Indian and many well over 20% (Durban is around 24%). Dubai having an estimated 1,000,000+ Indians. But most of these folks do not have permanent residency, and live in a transient community, so I didn't count them.

Too late in the day to pretend as if racism against blacks isnt a thing in China. Hell, Chinese begin illtreating blacks right there in Africa.

Compare the homicide rates of blacks in South Africa with whites. You will see that crime in South Africa doesnt know color. Its a pity that some whites there are so self absorbed that they do not know this. They should be allying with the rest of the population in getting the gov't to deal with crime which impacts everyone.

I think they mean as a % of the population. There are some who do not consider those who live in Trinidad/Guyana to be "Indian" as they have become creolized, no longer communicate in Indian languages, and have less direct ties to India. Indians in Durban are living there as locals. It is "their" city. Indians in Dubai, etc., are "temporary" migrants.

Indeed. Although the Indian population in KL and other concentrations within Malaysia, tend to maintain language and culture. So possibly at a guess the largest overseas community of ethnic Indians that have maintained culture.

Well the Muslim Indians in Malaysia tend to assimilate into the Malay population. Same with the Chinese Muslims there.

Malays also settled in South Africa too long ago, but their language is Afrikaans.

But most of the Indians are not Muslim in Malaysia, they are Hindu. The Chinese are rarely Muslim faith apart from the early settlers that married Malays and adapted another culture. Hence Malaysia is more one of the most unassimilated countries and most diverse countries.
