I'm a graduate student. I'm searching now to get an admission. I found kent state university is a good place for me but the problem is I have two kids with down syndrom and the services in columbus is very good. I don't know any thing about kent and its schools and the down syndrom programs.
If any one has information about this please help me to take my decision

I don't know for sure, but I suspect that if you lived in Summit County (Stow), rather than Portage County (Kent) the programs might be better for your children. At any rate, you should investigate both, since Kent is on the Summit/Portage border, and if you lived in Stow it would be an easy commute to KSU.

Go to Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools and click on Special Services

While the city isn't too awfully big (probably around 35,000), the schools are a bit on the big side, mainly because there is only one high school, one middle school (7th/8th grades) and one intermediate school (5th/6th grades). I keep stats on schools for athletics in Ohio, and according to those records, Stow HS was Ohio's 30th largest school in 2009 and had approximately 1,933 students in four grades.

Excellent school district, overall, although I don't know about the special ed program. Also, a couple of neighboring districts, Tallmadge and Hudson, are also excellent districts. Again, though, not sure about special ed.
